We won’t be meeting at the library on the 7th due to the holiday. We will have a photowalk in downtown Bedford on Tuesday, the 8th. The plan is to start at the Bedford courthouse at 5:30pm.
August 17 Members Choice Meeting
Don’t forget that our next meeting is a Member’s Choice presentation night. If you’ve never done one for the club, it’s easy. Simply put 25 or 26 pictures on a CD or thumbdrive and we’ll show the images/slideshows on the 17th. Let’s see some of your recent work. If you want a little extra challenge, you can set up your photos to the “Alphabet Soup” style in which each photo corresponds to a letter of the alphabet.

August 3 Canoe Creek State Park Photo Walk
We will be meeting at Canoe Creek State Park just east of Hollidaysburg, PA at 630 Pm on August 3. We will meet in the parking lot by the swimming area. When you pull into the parking lot we will meet on the far left side.

To reach Canoe Creek State Park, travel on US 22 to the small village of Canoe Creek (seven miles east of Hollidaysburg), turn north on the Turkey Valley Road for one half mile to Canoe Creek State Park, on the right.
August 3rd Photowalk
This coming Monday, August 3rd, we’ll be having a photowalk at Canoe Creek State Park. We’re meeting at the parking lots near the beach at 6:30pm. We’ll move to the other side of the lake later if it looks like we might get a nice sunset.

Back in April, some of our members went to Cresson to photograph the old abandoned Cresson Ridge Motel.
July 6- Cresson Photo Walk
We will meet at 630 at the famous Cresson Ridge Restaurant. Then our tour guides will lead us.

Drive about 1/4 mile and it is on the right. It is the old restaurant and motel that is closed. It is close to the Lemon House
June 15th – Competition Results
This coming Monday, the 15th, we’re back in the library. Sally and the competition committee will show us the results of the spring Print Competition. Join us at 7:15pm to see all of the entries and find out who won.
June 1st meeting Penn State Arboretum
Finally it is warm enough to go outside and shot the roses. We will be heading to the Penn State Arboretum for our first photo walk of the year.

Directions
The Arboretum is at the corner of Park Avenue and Bigler Road. The entrance to the parking lot of the gardens is on Bigler Road. Visitors arriving by automobile from distant locations should exit the I-99/Route 322/Mount Nittany Expressway at Park Avenue and proceed southwest to Bigler Road.
It is really close to Beaver Stadium just head towards town from the stadium on Park Ave.
May 18th Meeting
Our meeting on the 18th will be at the Hollidaysburg Library at 7:15pm. We’ll be having a table-top night. We’ll work on macro/still-life/etc. Bring some flowers, knick-knacks, or anything else that might be interesting to photograph. Also, it would be great if some people brought lighting or light tents.
