June 1st meeting Penn State Arboretum
Finally it is warm enough to go outside and shot the roses. We will be heading to the Penn State Arboretum for our first photo walk of the year.

Directions
The Arboretum is at the corner of Park Avenue and Bigler Road. The entrance to the parking lot of the gardens is on Bigler Road. Visitors arriving by automobile from distant locations should exit the I-99/Route 322/Mount Nittany Expressway at Park Avenue and proceed southwest to Bigler Road.
It is really close to Beaver Stadium just head towards town from the stadium on Park Ave.
May 18th Meeting
Our meeting on the 18th will be at the Hollidaysburg Library at 7:15pm. We’ll be having a table-top night. We’ll work on macro/still-life/etc. Bring some flowers, knick-knacks, or anything else that might be interesting to photograph. Also, it would be great if some people brought lighting or light tents.
2014 Club Competition Results
At our banquet on the 4th, we learned the results of our club competitions for 2014. Congratulations go to Randy Klobetanz for winning Photographer of the Year.
Members Win Awards in Local Competition
This weekend is the Blair Arts Festival. Four of our members have won awards in the Juried Fine Art Exhibition.
Dave Hammaker won 1st place in Photography with “Waves of Stone.”
Eric Gaston won 3rd place in Photography with “Bulls Creek.”
Brandon Hirt won an Honorable Mention with “Lemon House Stars.”
Andy Dierks won and Honorable Mention with “Cold Water Run.”
Annual Awards Banquet – May 4th
There won’t be a meeting at the library on Monday, May 4th. We’ll be having our annual spring awards banquet that night. We’ll be back in the library on the 18th.
WWII Era Photoshoot
Back in March, several of our members went to Rockhill Trolley Museum in Rockhill Furnace, PA with some members of the Furious Fourth Living History Group and the Keystone Pinups.
April 20th Meeting
If everything works out right, for our next meeting Jerry Carey will talk to us about using a Quadcopter/Drone for photography and videography. You can check out some of Jerry’s work on his Youtube page.

April 6th Meeting
