*Jan 28th Meeting*

The library is closed for the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday, so there is no meeting on Jan 21st. We’ve pushed our meeting back a week to the 28th. We’ll have a second session learning about Lightroom and Photoshop. The meeting will be at 7:15 in the Community Room of the library.

July 16th Meeting

For Monday’s meeting, we’ll be back in the Community Room of the Hollidaysburg Libary. We’ll be talking about waterfall photography. Preparation, planning, gear, composition, camera settings, and post-processing tips, we’ll hit it all. The meeting starts at 7:15pm.

May 7th Meeting

On Monday evening, we’ll be back in the Hollidaysburg library at 7:15pm. We’ll be taking a look at some of our print competition submissions and letting the members give their critiques before they’re passed along to the official judges. We’ll also be talking about flower photography in advance of our flower photowalk on the 21st.

A Successful Macro Night

On Jan 22nd, we had a great meeting in the library where we worked on close up/macro photography. Members brought in items such as seashells, toys, stained glass and feathers. It was fun seeing everyone use the lightboxes and other tools to make some cool photos.

Feb 12th Meeting

Due to some scheduling conflicts with the library, we have some odd dates for our meetings in February. Our first meeting will be on Monday, the 12th. Tim Boyles will be our speaker. He was one of the judges for our last competition. He focuses on “people” photography (weddings/portraits/etc). You can see some of Tim’s work on his website. The meeting starts at 7:15pm at the Hollidaysburg Library.

Jan 22nd Meeting

The library is closed on the 15th, so we’ve moved our second January meeting to the 22nd. We’ll be in the Children’s Room. It’ll be close-up/macro night. Bring your camera! And if you have small items that you think might make for interesting photos, bring those along. We’ll have flowers, toys, and other knick-knacks to shoot. Feel free to bring small lights, backdrops, etc. to help out with staging photos. It all starts at 7:15pm at the Hollidaysburg Libary.
