We had planned to do a night shoot to try to capture the stars and the Milky Way, but it’s going to be totally cloudy with a high chance of rain. So we’ve canceled the outing. Our next meeting will be Sept 17th back in the library at 7:15pm.
August 20th Meeting
For tonight’s meeting, we won’t be at the library. We’ll be at Fort Roberdeau photographing cars with the Altoona Antique Auto club. The fun starts at 6pm.
July 16th Meeting
For Monday’s meeting, we’ll be back in the Community Room of the Hollidaysburg Libary. We’ll be talking about waterfall photography. Preparation, planning, gear, composition, camera settings, and post-processing tips, we’ll hit it all. The meeting starts at 7:15pm.
July 2nd Photowalk – Update – Cancelled due to Weather
This Monday, we’ll won’t be at the library. We’ll be at Discovery Garden at Legion Park in Hollidaysburg. Our official start time is 7pm, but we keep things informal and some of us may show up a little earlier depending on the weather and the light.
June 18th Meeting
On Monday, we’ll be in the Hollidaysburg library. We’ll learn the results of our spring print competition. The meeting starts at 7:15pm in the Community Room.
June 4th Meeting
On Monday, we’ll be back in the Hollidaysburg Libary. Dave Hammaker will be giving a presentation on his trips out west titled “Landscape Photography in Southern Utah.” We’ll start at 7:15pm in the Community Room of the library. Join us to see some beautiful photography from Zion and Bryce National Parks along with many other locations.
Our Hinckston Run Photowalk
We had a fun outing on Monday. About 10 of us made it to Hinckston Run Falls. With all the recent rains, the water was flowing great.
May 21st – Waterfall Shoot
Monday, May 21st, we won’t be a the library. We’re going out for a waterfall shoot. The meeting spot is the Ebensburg Walmart parking lot. We’ll carpool and leave there at 6:30pm and head to Hinckston Run waterfalls and Buttermilk Falls.
May 7th Meeting
On Monday evening, we’ll be back in the Hollidaysburg library at 7:15pm. We’ll be taking a look at some of our print competition submissions and letting the members give their critiques before they’re passed along to the official judges. We’ll also be talking about flower photography in advance of our flower photowalk on the 21st.
April 16th – Banquet
We won’t be at the library tonight. We’ll be at Jethro’s in Altoona having our annual awards banquet. The party starts at 6:30pm.
