**Sept 22nd Meeting**

Next Club Meeting is Sept. 22nd we are planning on doing a photo shoot for the library as kids bring their stuffed animals for a library sleepover. We will need lots of photographers to help with this! So, bring your cameras of choice (cell phones are fine too).

The kids from the library story time will be dropping off their favorite stuffed friends to learn what goes on after the library is closed. The kids will then return the next day to take their stuffed friends home. Janet will be making little books for the kids with stories and pictures of their friend’s adventures. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM but come early if you can since we must be out of the library by 8 pm.

Each club member will be assigned an animal (or two) to document the animals’ adventures. We are asking for photos by Friday, so that Janet can get the books together for next week’s story time.

You are welcome to bring props (or your own stuffed animal friend) as well.

**No Sept 1st Meeting (Moved to 9/8)**

There will be no meeting this upcoming Monday, Sept. 1st as it is Labor Day and the library will be closed. We have moved our first Sept. Meeting to Monday, Sept. 8th at 6:30 PM. It will be in the library’s community meeting room. Details on what will be discussed will be sent out later. BUT it is also the projected image competition turn-in night.

**July 7th Picnic**

OUR NEXT MEETING: Monday, July 7th at 6:30 PM will be our annual club picnic at the picnic pavilion at the Lemon House in Cresson. Bring your own dinner, and feel free to bring a side or dessert to share. FYI: alcohol is not permitted in national state parks.

Bring your spouse/family/etc… This will be a nice casual way to get to know each other better. Bring your camera too, the Lemon house is nicely situated at the entrance to the picnic area, and sunsets are nice up there.

We’ll give everyone some time to eat and chat, then Sally and the Competition Committee will give their presentation.

New members are strongly encouraged to attend; this is a great casual evening to get to know each other better as well.

The picnic area is accessed off old Rt 22, not the highway exit for the Gallitzan/Allegheny Portage Railroad. Here is a Google Maps link to the area: Google Maps – Directions, trip planning, traffic cameras & more

**April 14th Meeting**

We’ll be in the library on Monday evening. We’ll be talking about Spring photography ideas. We’ll be looking at places to go, things to shoot, and some tips to make nice images as Pennsylvania comes back to life after a long cold winter.

Mar 17th Meeting

On the 17th, we’ll be in the Hollidaysburg Library. We’ll be taking a look at the winners of the PSA (Photographic Society of America) Interclub Competitions. This is a competition of photos submitted by photo clubs around the world. We’ll be viewing the winning photos and using the time to examine what makes these photos special so that we can apply the principles and techniques to elevate our own photography.

**March 3rd Meeting**

On March 3rd we will be meeting in the library again at 6:30 PM for a presentation on Rodeo photography! Katrina will share how she got involved in this area of photography and share some of her spectacular images.

This is also the turn-in date for our spring print competition.
