The library is closed on the 15th, so we’ve moved our second January meeting to the 22nd. We’ll be in the Children’s Room. It’ll be close-up/macro night. Bring your camera! And if you have small items that you think might make for interesting photos, bring those along. We’ll have flowers, toys, and other knick-knacks to shoot. Feel free to bring small lights, backdrops, etc. to help out with staging photos. It all starts at 7:15pm at the Hollidaysburg Libary.

January 8th Meeting
The Hollidaysburg Library is closed on January 1st, so we’ve moved our meeting to the 8th. We’ll be in the community room at 7:15pm. Brandon Hirt will give a presentation on winter landscape photography.
Dec 18th – Planning Meeting
Our last meeting of the year is tomorrow evening. We’ll be in the Hollidaysburg Area Library at 7:15pm. It’s our annual business/planning meeting. We’ll be electing officers and getting ideas for next year’s programs.
Dec 4th – Christmas Dinner
On December 4th, we’ll have our annual club Christmas dinner. We’ll be at Jethro’s in Altoona. The plan is to start at 6 pm.
*November 6th Meeting*
Monday’s meeting is our annual “What’s new in the world of camera gear” meeting at The Film Center in Altoona. Britt will show us some of the latest and greatest in cameras and accessories. The meeting starts at 7pm.
October 2nd Meeting
For our next meeting, we’ll be back at the Hollidaysburg Library. Dave Hammaker will be sharing tips for improving your landscape photography. The meeting starts at 7:15pm.
Sept 18th Outing
On Monday, the 18th, we won’t be at the library. We’ll be at Prince Gallitzin State Park working on night photography. Meet us at 6:30pm at the Beaver Valley Marina. Here is a link to the location on Google Maps. Right now Accuweather is calling for a mostly clear Monday evening, so grab your tripod and join us.
August 7th – Outing
For the August 7th meeting, we won’t be in the library. We have an outing planned for members.
July 17th Meeting
Tonight, Eric will be walking us through editing photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. We’ll be at the Holldaysburg Library at 7:15pm.
* April 3rd Meeting *
For this next meeting, Brandon and Eric will be doing another “Back to Basics” presentation. We’ll be talking aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, exposure compensation, focus modes, metering modes…all those good settings you need to know to create a perfect photo. So if you’re wondering what some of those buttons or settings do, be ready to speak up and ask questions at the meeting. You’re welcome to bring your camera if you’d like to. Sometimes it’s easier for us to help you decipher something if we see the camera since the different brands use different terminologies.
We’ll be at the Hollidaysburg Library at 7:15pm.
